URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE

12/18/10

I am so excited words can't explain. This Palette has been off the market for quite some time, and has been in high demand as well. I've been waiting for this to come back in stock, and just my luck  as I walked into MACYS today I passed by the URBAN DECAY booth. I hesitated for a moment but then thought, hey why not i'll just ask if they carried it, and to my surprised the guy working there had it! He had a very limited amount and wasn't really giving them out to just anyone, but i got very Lucky!

I'm thrilled, I can't wait to use it! =)

The Cheetah Within

These pictures are from a photo-shoot I did for fun. I did the makeup and I had a lot of fun doing it cause it wasn't just a regular eyeshadow look but a very creative and funky design.

HALLOWEEN 2010

This Halloween I decided to not do anything, but I did have a blast doing makeup on others. It was kind of a spontaneous thing, because I had not planned ahead about what kind of make up I wanted to do. I was a bit nervous at first but as soon as I got there I sucked it up and used my creativity to come up with an amazing look that I'm very proud of.

I was especially nervous for the scars because I had never worked with scar wax and special effects makeup, and I didn't even have the tools for it. I ended up settling with what I had available to me and I actually liked the outcome a lot! I had used the scar wax to mold and look like a scar and a mixture of different eyeshadow colors like RED, PURPLE, BLACK, and LIGHT YELLOW. I was trying to figure out what I would use for some fake blood since I had none, so I used a light red lipgloss...and hey, it worked perfectly!

As for the green fairy makeup, I used many different green shadows and black liner with some awesome fake lashes. And for the green patterns on the sides of her face I used a really cool patterned lace and just dusted shadow on it; I liked how it came out but was not completely satisfied. For more effect I decided to apply some shimmer, and although it doesn't show very much in pictures, it turned out to be just what I needed to push this look further. Usually I would say keep it light on the lips when you have a very dramatic eye, but in this case we decided to GO ALL OUT! It's Halloween! The fuchsia and green compliment each other pretty well.

In the end everything went well and I was very happy with the outcome; most importantly they loved it and that's what matters most!
