IMATS L.A. 2011

IMATS L.A. 2011

This was my first IMATS trip and I was incredibly excited. When I arrived I was so overwhelmed by all the people, the makeup, the booths, and artists doing amazing work! I had so much fun! I went on both days, Saturday & Sunday, and I am so happy I did, because there was so much to see, and so much to do! From 20%-40% off makeup, to spotting amazing makeup artists and youtubers.

I am so happy with all of my purchases, and unfortunately I couldn't buy the entire place lol, BUT what I did buy was amazing...and soon I can show you guys some of the things I got and do some reviews on them :D

I can't wait to go back next year!

JUST A SCRATCH

Whether you want to freak someone out or get all banged up for Halloween, this look is fun to do and super cool! Creating this look is going to be different for everyone because this isn't about being perfect. The messier it looks the more realistic it looks.
It doesn't take expenisve makeup or any crazy special effects to do stuff like this....Here's what I used.

MATERIALS USED:
-BLUE, PURPLE, BLACK, RED eyeshadow
-RED LIPGLOSS
-ANY LIPSTICK COLOR YOU WANT
-SCAR WAX (cheap at any halloween store)
-CONCEALER
-SPONGE (FOR TEXTURE)

WHAT TO DO:
I had already worn makeup out that day so I just added a little more black eyeshadow on my lids and lipstick. Now comes the fun part.
STEP 1. Start molding your scar wax at any desired area. Eyeball it, think of what cuts, scabs, and scars look like.
STEP 2. Apply concealer to the scar wax areas to blend into your skintone for a more natural look...
STEP 3. Start adding you eyeshadows. Use any DARK PURPLE  shadow to start dabbing underneath your eye, your temple, ur cheek. (make sure your shadows are matte. No bruise looks sparkly :) I made it so it looks like I fell and scraped my face.
STEP 4. Add red and black and blue shadow lightly on top of the purple shadow (blotchy)
(YOU CAN USE THE TEXTURED SPONGE TO GIVE IT A VEINY LOOK, by dipping the sponge in the shadows//red)
STEP 5. Get your red lipgloss and mix it with a small amount of black shadow and apply inside the cuts with a Q-tip of small brush. (You can smear it, make it drip, or whatever you prefer.)
STEP 6. Use some black shadow and water and apply it to the under eye area and let it drip down, giving it the effect of tears.

AND VIOLA YOUR DONE.
Of course you can add anything else you like :)
HOPE THIS HELPED.
Thanks!
